Congratulations to MBS3 organizers, winners

I wanted so much to attend the 3rd Mindanao Bloggers Summit in the “chada” city of Cagayan de Oro which will also give me a chance to visit my siblings who are temporarily based in Iligan City because of their studies at the Mindanao State University.

But the tournaments in Davao City have prevented me again to join the gathering of the members of the Fifth Estate.

I would like to congratulate the organizers of the MBS3 and the CDO bloggers for the successful event.

Special mention to Avel Manansala of Gen.Santos City for emerging one of the winners.

Congratulations!

To be back in GenSan for the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit

Oops.

I hope I can make it to the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit in Gen.Santos City.

And I hope that ABS-CBN will do a coverage for those who cannot attend to just watch the event.

Do it live!

* * *

That’s the first post I did before Avel emailed me and gave me light at the end of the tunnel that I can get a slot to the 2nd MBS!

It’s been a long time that I have not visited Gen.Santos City.

I went to Gen.Santos in 1996 for the Palarong Pambansa coverage. At that time, I was suiting up for the Daily San Pedro Express of publisher-editor Leonilo G. Claudio.

I have very fond memories there.

I could still remember some names, aside from those in the regular sports beat, Dodong Atillo of dxDC was there too. Dodong is now spokesman of the DepEd. And because he studied very hard,  Dodong is now a supervisor.

Ben Cyrus Ellorin of Bukidnon was there too. He now writes for the Mindanews and handles an NGO based in Cagayan de Oro City. Ben and I played basketball at his alma mater, Xavier University, during our high school years. Who could forget that Ben?

Now comes this Mindanao Bloggers Summit.

I got so busy with a lot of stuff that I sometimes forget to update my sports blog.

Then, I saw the deadline set by Avel, who spearheads the organizing committee.

6 a.m., it says!

I attended the first MBS at the NCCC Mall. It was fun. That day too, I shifted to wordpress and enjoyed blogging, thanks to Blogie.

Now what?

Well, I am excited to see the Mindanao bloggers gather again. Shake hands with them. Listen to the resource speakers and learn from them.

I must be in Gen.Santos City. Specifically at the Family Country Hotel and Convention Center.

What do you think Avel?

Vote for Batang Yagit, a Mindanaoan

Batang Yagit of Davao City and Mindanao is gunning for the Bloggers’ Choice Award.

The PBA! Not the Philippine Basketball Association.

Batang Yagit is a Mindanaoan and hard-working blogger.

So, I cast my vote for Batang Yagit!

By the way, if you are a blogger, get a chance to win a Nokia phone, according to jehzlau.com/concepts, by casting your votes and pray that your favorite blogger wins in the PBA!
