Rizal Memorial Colleges is hosting the 2007 Elderlympics set in December, according to Councilor Leo “Happy L.A.” Avila.
On Wednesday’s meeting at the Councilor’s Lounge, Avila said RMC’s Leo Magno approved to their request to be the venue of this year’s  competition for senior citizens.
“We are very thankful for their help,” Avila told the members of the organizing committee.
The event is scheduled on December 8 to 10 featuring various sports events designed for the senior citizens.
Aside from the ball games, ballroom dancing competition and quiz bowl contest will also be highlighted, said Avila.
Avila said sports competitions are also being designed for the senior citizens to keep them alert and in shape even in their retirement years.
“They are even more enthusiastic than the young ones,” said Avila.
Various organizations have started meeting with the Steering Committee chaired by Avila to prepare this early and ensure the success of the three-day event.
