Kadayawan Phoenix Run 2011 on Aug. 21

After the successful 1st Phoenix Run in Davao City last March, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines organizes the “Kadayawan Phoenix Run: Takbo Para sa KinaBOOKasan” on August 21, 2011, Sunday.
The Run will start and end at SM City Davao. It will support Phoenix Philippines Foundation’s advocacy of providing books to students of the company’s adopted schools.
The Run is also a tribute to Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr. and his ideals of freedom and love of country. It is held in cooperation with the city government of Davao and SM City Davao.
For this Run, Phoenix introduces new run categories, 4K, 8K, 16K, and 32K. Assembly time is 3am for the 32K and 4:30am for the 16K, 8K and 4K. Champions of the 32K category will each receive P10,000 cash, P7,000 for 16K, P4,000 for 8K and P2,500 for 4K 1st placers. A cash prize of P1,000 will also be given to the 1st place winner of the Jazz Up your Singlet Contest.
If you are a run enthusiast or if you want to run for a cause, then be part of the “Kadayawan Phoenix Run: Takbo Para sa KinaBOOKasan.”
Registration centers are at Phoenix Acacia station, Phoenix Bulk Depot and Adidas Shop in Gaisano Mall of Davao. Deadline of registration is on August 15, 2011.
Registration fee for the 32K category is P800 and for 16K, P600. The fee in both categories includes singlet, timing chip, race bib, finisher’s shirt and finisher’s medal. Registration fee for 8K is P300 and for 4K, P250, inclusive of singlet, race bib and finisher’s certificate. Only the first 5000 registrants will receive singlet.
The Kadayawan Phoenix Run is the fourth major Run organized by Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. The Phoenix Run Series has been to Davao City, Tagum, and Compostela Valley.(pr)
