Germany wins 3rd spot, Spain battles Netherlands for FIFA World Cup title

The Germans won the third spot on Saturday via 3-2 win over Uruguay.

Howard Webb of England officiates today’s FIFA World Cup final between Spain and the Netherlands.

Spain’s Queen Sofia is at the Soccer City Stadium, Johannesburg to cheer the European champions and bring the message of King Juan Carlos I to the players.

The Spaniards play the Dutch for the first time in a World Cup final and the first apperance too for Spain.
The Dutch attempts for the third time to win the World Cup after failing to win it in 1974 (won by host West Germany) and 1978 (ruled by host Argentina).
