Irish golfer wins U.S.Open

The third round leaders collapsed.
Except for Northern Ireland’s Graeme McDowell who lifted the U.S.Open Championship trophy on Sunday at the Pebble Beach Golf Club.
And what was sweeter on Father’s Day, Graeme’s daddy was there to witness the victory.
McDowell shot a three-over-par 74 in the final round(71- 68-71-74=284) to win by one shot over Gregory Havret of France (73-71-69-72=285) that ended a 40-year title dry spell by the Europeans.
Tony Jacklin of England was the last European to win the U.S.Open in 1970.
