Davao Sunday Runners Club continued its storied history when it organizes another race dubbed the 9th Shrine Hill Challenge in partnership with Pocari Sweat, the latest energy rejuvenator.
Runners will answer the starting gun on June 27, 5:30 a.m., at the Jack’s Ridge Resort and Restaurant, home of one of Davao City’s best tuna, chicken and pork dishes.
“We are organizing the 3k, 5 k and 10k races which will start at the same time. There will be cash prizes, gifts to be raffled, finishers certificates and breakfast packs,” said Eduardo “Momong” Robillo, the club’s past president.
Interested runners can join by paying a P200 registration fee that comes with a single for the first 600 registrants, race bib, Pocari Sweat and lugaw after the run.
Robillo said registration is still going on at the ground floor of the Imperial Hotel c/o Anthony Diaz.
The club was formed by Doctors Rizal Aportadera, Oscar Escudero and friends in the 80’s as part of their exercise and grew to become one of Davao’s top race organizers.
