ABAP has new president

The Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines elected on October 29 a new president, Ricky Vargas.

I hope there will be a right direction for amateur boxing development in the provinces.

PLDT top honcho Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP) is behind the organization. The MVP hand can do a lot with the help of other officials.

But if the other officials would only think of themselves,  they will never produce a gold medal in the Olympics.

And MVP will be wasting his money.

Mindanao Children’s Games in Davao City

Yes, preparations are now ongoing for the Mindanao Children’s Games next month in Davao City.

The Children’s Games is part of the Sports for Peace Program in Mindanao which started in Central Mindanao where internally-displaced children where served by the Notre Dame priests, Ulamas and officials from the Philippine Sports Commission.

I hope that this program will continue and be supported by millionaires residing in Mindanao.

It’s for the children.

It’s a very good investment.

If you have something to share for the program call the Sports for Peace office at (082)2992915.
