Here are the initial information on the Ultimate Strikers 3 Muaythai Kickboxing Tournament Against Drugs on November 30, 2008 at 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at SM Southmall Las Piñas City. The event was conducted by the National Muaythai Kick Boxing Council of the Philippines Inc. (NMKBCPI).

Main Event:     Steve Grandeza of Moo Duk Kwan Soo Bahk Do Davao vs. Ariel Cabusas of Yawyan Pasay

Steve Grandeza was considered an underdog in the game as his opponent Ariel Cabusas is considered to be one of the most respected and strongest Muai Thai fighters in the country. Cabusas is considered the pride of Pasay City with a muay thai fighting record of 10 wins – 0 defeats – 0 draws. This is also Grandeza’s first time to compete in the Muay Thai discipline. Grandeza became the crowd favorite when he won by technical knock out on the 2nd round against Cabusas. Muay Thai tournaments consist of three rounds per game.

Grandeza was endorsed by PSC Chairman William “Butch” Ramirez to the Philippine National San Shou Team and is currently training with World and Asian San Shou Gold Medalist Rene Catalan. Please see image DSCN5789.
