Mixed Martial Arts of Davao grabbed two gold, one silver and seven bronze medals in the recent Pan Asian International Grappling Challenge and Pan Asian Brazilian Jiu Jitsu International at the Mall of Asia.
Mars Cenojas won a gold in the No-Gi masters absolute class and added a bronze in the 72-kilogram division with Gi while Paolo Tancontian captured the gold in the 88-kilogram with Gi division.
Juanito Estimada contributed a silver medal in the 76-kilogram with Gi and clinched a bronze in the 85-kilogram with No-Gi while Marco Cenojas settled for the bronze medal in the No-Gi and 76-kilogram No-Gi.
Thirdy Escovilla won a bronze medal in the 88-kilogram with Gi and another bronze in the 85-kilogram No-Gi intermediate division even as Julius Macasaet took a bronze in the 60-kilogram with Gi.
The mixed martial artists thanked their sponsors led by Councilor Paolo Z. Duterte for backing their participation.
